What retribution should I invoke

Back about two months ago my brother and I got back from a good day of catching he took crappie out of live well,eight days later my garage got this awful rotten smell, my live well has a hinged devider guess what I found behind it (two rotten keepers).There was a few choice words exchanged,then the whole matter was dropped. He and me or us caught a few eight days ago he took fish out of live well,this morning Iwent out to garage to get ready for my upcoming thursday trip guess what my garage and boat stunk so bad, pulled boat out opened every compartment fumigated then opened live well a big old crappie behind devider. WHAT WOULD YOU DO

make sure he got all the fish out of my boat

Wait 'til the dead of summer, when its real hot, and crack open a can of sardines and hide them under the seat of his vehicle.;)

Hey, that really works! Some joker at work hid a sardine can in my booth at work, and it stunk up the place real good! (I caught him removing it to replace with a new one, his beet red face was good reward!)

I would be the one to take the fish out of the boat.
You now know where to check for any stray fish. DON'T leave it to others to clean up your boat.!!!!!!!!!

This is not a serious thing my brother and I joke around a lot,we use my boat my truck I drive the truck I launch boat I park truck I run boat I run trolling motor Itake him to bank to______ nearly every trip. I back trailer to take boat out I drive boat on trailer He sits in back of boat fishing. He eats the fish. I do clean boat most of the time but don't you think I should be able to give him a hard time on the second go round.

I would delegate the responsibility of getting the bait, lunch and drinks and to pay for the gas used while fishing.
There is no need to let him freeload.

next time ya take him to the bank to _______, leave him there for a bit, and when he starts hollerin tell him to enjoy the smell cause you had to on the boat when he left the fish

I have had friends like this.
This always gets some kind of response....
Eat some boiled eggs, cabbage, etc. When nature calls, answer at his house and forget to flush the toilet.

Take his boat next time and return the favor ?:rolleyes: I had a guy leave one in my livewell once during the hot summer time!:eek: Next time carry a bag and save a green carp to place it under his truck seat.;)

Go out and get some cow pasture greens. Put it under his door handle. Look innocent when he asks.

He buys breakfast pays launch fee and pays for bait, and a few weeks ago he gave me a new set of frog togs. he's my brother and I going to keep him,but I will fuss about rotten crappie for a while. Good idea on cow greens I might try that.

He's family so take it easy on him! I suggest that you go behind him and double check the live well is empty next time before you store the boat.

If .... "he eats the fish" ...... maybe you should prepare him a "special" meal, of the ones he forgot to remove from the livewell :eek: :p .... that should cure him of his "forgetfulness", or lax attitude towards being an "equal" partner in these fishing escapades !!
I'm kidding, of course .... but, maybe suggesting that this "might happen", or that it's what you "plan on doing", next time he leaves fish in the livewell .... might make him a little more careful about "thoroughly checking" for any remaining fish :D

I would have stopped right there and made him clean it out. I'd give him a pass on the first time too, but the second......I don't think so. CF

Last summer my stepdaughter was moving and had borrowed her step dads exporer, with all the shuffling and stuff I ended up driving it back to him, where we had a nice cookout and relaxed. The explore only gets used once in a while, so a few weeks later I get a call from her mom (we are buddies) that she is pretty sure there is a dead body in it. Wanted to know whos it was. No a bag of bluefish had fallen out of the cooler during the move. It still smells, after detailing and everyhting they could think of.

If'n it was a brother of mine I'd rag him to no end. It would become a year-round joke as long as he can take it. BUT.....you could bet I'd be checking behind him for awhile! :D

Catch a stray cat, give it some worm medicine, lock it in his car overnight.

...then get his eyes checked. Back boat into his garage after next trip. My brothers have endured my joking & picking for years...Laughter really is the cure, because most people can remember a good joke played on them. If he's catching fish for the fry, you might want to overlook these little shortcomings. God puts people in our lives for a reason: sometimes a blessing; other times a trial. Helluva plan! Maybe he thinks you need a new boat???:D

Ha Joe I'll offer to buy him some glasses cause he's all I got left on my side of family,hope we get to fish togeather for a long time.

Giving him a pair of glasses sounds like the ideal way to go. It tells him that he goofed in a funny way, and is the perfect way to prepare him to be ragged on for years to come! There are tons of things that he might do in the future and you'll be able to hit him with "why aren't you wearing those glasses I got you?", or " do I need to get you another pair of glasses?" All this of course, will only work if he doesn't actually need glasses.
