Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. I thought I was a pretty tough guy but I sure have met my match with this hip surgery. Hasn’t been a walk in the park but I am sure given time things will improve. Good luck to all you ice fishermen, no shortage of ice that is for sureUSA FLAG

Hang in there. I had a hip done in September 2016. Somebody told me 6 months to feel normal again. Do your PT. I was able to get in a pool for therapy once the incision healed and that helped a lot. Haven't used a cane for a couple years but we are going to Italy in September so think I'll take it as a precaution with the extra walking and cobblestones.
Well the fun continues!! Wednesday off to the doctors, things ok but some swelling so time for an ace bandage. Now if you want some real humor imagine trying to stuff my oversized leg in the front of my car.. The ride home went ok...lol. But it doesn’t stop there...Last night we loose power so Tonda is now stuck with making sure the switch’s to run the generator are set properly. Did I mention I was disposed to have written instructions with a diagram. Hubby fails again!! But she did figure out how to get things running. Yea Tonda!! Right not she is driving to town (after unfreezing the garage door) to get gas for the generator and food supplies for our neighbors. Well not much of a fishing story but sure a story about how lucky I am to have a great wife. I am hoping this story is over..lol.
