Fishing gloves???

What are ya'lls recommendations for a good set of gloves??? Warm and can hopefully waterproof. Thanks.

Following because I have never licked a single pair I have bought..

mittens are warmer than gloves. I like a muff or kangaroo pocket with hand warmer in it. I also keep towels to dry my hands often.

Try this : take a small towel and drape it over your lap - dip minner with a minner net - drop minner onto towel - pin minner down on towel and place hook into minner - drop minner overboard & :fish

"bflowers" above nailed it! Been using rag wool, fingerless gloves for many decades. They get wet and they still keep your hands from freezing. You still need a pair of chemical hand warmers in each pocket, the these gloves make any cold water fishing tolerable.

I bought a pair of Legends fishing gloves, in the fishing area at Walmart, a few years ago. They are thin with a little thinsulate and goretex but not bulky. So far so good, and only about $20 bucks if I remember correctly. I still use handwarmers in my pockets though.

I haven't used them for cold weather fishing, but I did put some over my brown cotton jersey gloves when I went to help put wreaths on military graves, and they kept my hands dry & warm. The only downside was when I took the covered gloves off & went to put them back on .... I had to slip the jersey gloves out of the latex ones & put them on, then put the latex gloves on over the jersey gloves while wearing them. The latex glove just didn't want to stay on over the jersey gloves when I tried to put them on together.
Now I did only have Large latex gloves, because that was the only size I could find at my local Wallyworld, and may not have been a problem had I been able to find some XL sized latex gloves. :dono

I use those Buff Pro Angler III gloves year round, more for sun protection in summer than warmth in colder months. They don't offer much thermal protection at all. I'm more careful to keep 'em dry when it's cold because the palms hold water. I'm either paddling or reeling pretty regularly, so my hands stay fairly warm.
