Looks like Monday will give us a few hours to fish. Not too cold. Does anyone know what the lake is like from Holmes bend to the bridge ? Up,down color ?

COE chart shows the lake at ~2.5' above Summer Pool (9.5' above Winter Pool) after about 3" of rain over the past week .... and the dam is currently only spilling at 470cfs ... so I'd say it's probably still a bit dirty in that area. I'm just guessing, though, based on those facts. Maybe someone that's been there, or passed over the bridge lately, will reply with a more accurate report.

Water was stained, but not bad for fishing. Looked to be a couple of feet below summer pool.
Thanks guys for the reports. I’m leaning that way.

When I went down to the cabin, I looked at the water. It's still pretty murky. Be good warm day Monday not to go try it.[emoji16]

Lake is 2+ feet over summer pool. I was fishing but i was in the Robinson Creek, Lone Valley area today and water color looked good. Just a little stained... perfect !
Did you find any fish. I was thinking about the channel from Taylor county towards the creek. It usually is cleaner.

sorry, I was NOT fishing... that was a fat finger typo
Well,14 fish and not a keeper in the bunch. Fished the area from lone valley towards pike ridge. Water was good but windy. Now we wait on next week and better weather. But,they can be caught.

Good post! Thanks for sharing.
At least you got to go. Working night shift and weather not to good on my days off makes it real hard to try to go to sleep at night to get up early or stay up all night and day and go fishing.
Night shift presents many different problems indeed. I’m sure I missed a lot of fish because the line would barely move and it was hard to see with eyes watering in the wind. On a good note everything came off of your jigs. Never caught a fish on minners.

Glad to hear that. I wont say i never use minners at green. But I cant think of a time in the past couple of years anyway.
I hear ya, bruh !! Night shift worker for almost 40 of the 45 years I worked at UKHC ... and I've been retired for almost 6yrs and it's still easier for me to stay up all night & sleep during the day. Adjusting when I sleep has more than once been a reason I didn't make it to a lake when I wanted to, and screwy weather just added to the problem. Between those two factors, I didn't fish near as often last year as I normally would.
Bump up. Where around the lake would I be able to find crappie minners?

Patterson's grocery
Green River Bait & Grocery - Google Search
Green river bait and grocery, near Holmes Bend. Open year round. Used them a couple months ago. Usually get them closer to home but gambled and stopped here. Good minnows, fair prices

Can I get in at Arnold’s ? I might try Patterson’s and pick up a bottle of “sauce “. Been wanting to try it.
