Has any one had experience with a cmc 52100 trim tilt? Wanting to purchase for a 14 foot 15 hp. I have already looked at new motors and other options.

I've never had one but I've never read anything about bad about the CMC units.
A guy at a salvage yard suggested this company not really looking at changing the motor I have..mostly I want to be able to lift motor at landing and shallow water.
have cmc pt 35 on 14 ft 25 hp best money spent
CanePole has one and could give you some info. I have one that was sold under minkota name that I like have a 40 mariner on it. Think Cabelas sells same one under different name. Will see if I can find it and post a link.
This is smaller than mine. Mine is more like the 50 but this will give you an idea what’s out there. Don’t like this price but might find one cheaper.
Here is a good list of reviews on the CMC.. pay close attention to the negatives. The one thing I have seen over the years is customer service is almost no existant. That’s biggest complaint I have seen.

Any one know if Cabelas have this? I see they have another brand but I was told the cmc brand is better I have a lot of points from Cabelas is why I ask.
Thanks
I had one on my 1974 35HP Johnson(CMC). Worked perfect for 25 years until I sold boat.
I Have one on my 14 ft boat with stick stear -- 25 hp motor. It makes the boat rigid enough that no Transom Saver is needed --- But the Best thing about the Motor set back is it allows a clear area for my new Side Image Helix -- Lots of Folks have to Tilt their motor up ... I dont have to touch Mine
I have been using a Bob’s Maxhine Shop trim and tilt on a Yamaha 25 for the past 4 years with no problems. Works like a charm and you will not find a bad review on them either like you might CMC. Some of his trim and tilts have a 5 yr warantee. Check him out. Tilt and Trim + Tilt/Jack Combo Archives - Bob's Machine. His jack plates are used on a lot of the racing team boats also.
Thanks for the tons of help, I didn't realize so many have the same problem I have.
I like the ones at Bob's thanks for the tip checking on more options tomorrow, I wish I still was working we probably had all the materials laying around to make one.
