How long does it take before getting results on deer that are sent off for evaluations ? After two weeks site still says name /number not a match .
Coach , It took 3 1/2 weeks for my sample results to show up on the web site. Talked with Biologist yesterday, should not not take over a week and half now.
My 3 came back from 9- 15 days
I guess it’s according to where they do their testing!
Previously, tissue samples had to be sent out of state to be tested for CWD. In 2018, WFF provided funds for the Alabama Department of Agriculture to purchase CWD testing equipment, which was set up at Auburn University. The equipment and technician have been certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and can test up to 90 samples per day.
I’m on week #4 here in Tn and have yet to hear anything.

Go to MDWFP/CWD test results..it should then ask for your sample number and name.
When I called Jackson the other day I asked if the deer Cray had mentioned was part of the 6 confirmed cases and was told no. Almost 6000 deer have been tested with 6 confirmed so far. Figure that will go up some, at least that one case by Cray
I heard mentioned somewhere on here that the hunting season would be extended in the counties that had tested positive for CWD, any truth to that? I can't find nothing about it and wasn't in my January news letter from the MDWFP.
What part of the deer do they use for the testing?

Discovered that no space needed between ms and #####.No result but they are there .
Looks like maybe the deer Cray told us about has tested positive, total cases are now up to 8. 4 in Marshall, 1 in Benton, 1 in Pontotoc and 2 in Issaquena.
The map is showing the 4 cases in Marshall County all to be around Red Banks, Cray lives up closer to the state line. Here is the map showing the 8 cases so far in MS. Kind of odd to have those two way down there in Issaquena, that's a big leap from North MS.Quote:

Just checked with neighbor. He checked this morning and it is still pending.
I finally got my results back today and they are negative, and I’m hunting right in the middle of it in Fayette County.
Ok, got results on my neighbors and it came back negative for CWD. Didn’t say if they found anything else that could have been wrong with it.
