Some of the best times spent fishing isn't really fishing at all!

My wife has ask me on occasion...

Why do you spend so much time in the tackle store yet you buy very little stuff??
Why do you always go through the sporting goods section when your just picking up some milk??
Why do you watch all of those fishing videos, it's stuff you already know anyway??
Why do you need to go through all of the stuff in your tackle box... again??
Why do you tie more crappie jigs whenever it's raining outside??

I've been know to do a lot of vicarious fishing in my time :biggrin

I was looking at a wally speed shooter last night even tho i dont “need” a new pole. My wife asked me “why are you looking at fishing poles if you dont need one”? i said cause i like em why not haha.

Before my brother passed I had a lot of fishing tackle - now I have an obscene amount and I still go through the fishing sections and to tackle shows and the like.

The weather has me trapped in the house and remembering having read this thread I thought I would count my tackle boxes just to see what I have. Unless I missed my count I came up with 54.

Sounds about right, the other day I counted my rods and came up with about 56+ couldn't get an exact count since I have a handful down in the locker at the lake. I really should do some ebay'ing or something.
