Does anyone have an idea when these units will be released? “Coming Early 2019” is all I’ve seen.
Techically, it’s early 2019. LOL

I've read 2nd quarter ...
Rickie
Read somewhere it got postponed.
I saw somewhere that it'll be released when it comes out :Rofl
Well, here's the question....
Do you guys think it being released will cause the price of the Garmin Livescope to drop? I'm scraping pennies together at a much faster rate than I thought I would. Within another few weeks, I'll have the extra cash to buy a Garmin. I'd like to compare the two units, but then I don't see how it could possibly be any better than the Garmin Livescope, unless it comes with a pack of Sea Monkeys that will swim down and place the hook in the fishes mouth. I don't know if they even sell Sea Monkeys anymore. I always wanted some, but my momma wouldn't let me order any.
Prices, probably in your case won’t go down until next Nov/Dec. when they start yaking about the new 2020 models. Try finding a sea monkey. :Rofl
live scope isn’t going to help you catch that many more fish! You can utilize 2d and watch your jig fall right down to the fish ! Of course you want be doing it in real time ! like a video ! but you can see them hit your bait ! I’m really surprised that their isn’t more videos of folks catching fish utilizing 2d :twocents Don’t get in a hurry this is just my thinking and I know that don’t mount to much !!, but in my opinion the brand of units that we have now has always been top dog for the most part ! And on top of the latest and greatest I’m sure there’s are a rabbit in the thicket that the top dog is going to bring out before long and it will be the jewel ! :twocents
2d doesn’t sell electronics. I love to see these electronics firms R & D divisions and what they have planned for release 3 4-5 years down the road to suck everybody into keep buying and upgrading. How many of them have psychologists working in R & D and advertising to entice human nature to keep spending and upgrading? Can we say it’s as addictive as the drugs and smoking? No matter what you use or buy, It’s still up to you to catch the fish. :Rofl I’d like to have all the money I have spent on electronics and boats and fishing since 1972. :Rofl
Mitch, I fished in a boat Saturday that had the LiveScope. After seeing it first hand, I will have to say that it will definitely help anyone put more fish in the boat. I use 2D a good bit but you have to be over the fish to see them. Where you and I fish the water is shallow enough that IMO being over the fish will often times spook them.
It is also a great time saving tool. They are either there or they ain’t and it doesn’t even take one cast to find out. You know I ain’t rolling in dough, but I’ve got less time than anything. I don’t want one to watch my jig, I want one to save time. When I’ve only got 2 hours to fish on a Tuesday afternoon or whenever it would be real nice to eliminate spots immediately and you can do that with a LiveScope
FurFlyin, keep in mind just because you can see them doesn’t mean they will bite!
You are correct about saving time.

They are now more affordable with the newer livescope only $499.00.
Panoptix LVS12 Transducer | Garmin
Attachment 327076
I think LVS12.....only works with the more expensive 8*** series heads, not the echo series.
Talked to lowrance rep Saturday and he said April 1st release. Priced just under $1000, like 995-999. Look for them to be unveiling new trolling motors at bass masters classic he thought. I hope their live sight is as good as the Garmin is. I just got the live 9. I’m lost as a goose using it. he was very helpful giving some pointers, and answering questions.
