Pro V had double knee replacement yesterday and is already want to fish HR this weekend! Here’s to a quick recovery for our friend and we hope he is back catch fis soon!!
By the way, if you see him at the dock the next couple months might help the ol’ boy out with loading his boat. I feel sure he won’t stay away from fishing too long.

Thanks, I had the very best doctor. Dr. Tom McCoy Ortho Carolina and everyone at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. Operated yesterday afternoon...came home today.

Will be praying for a quick and complete recovery. Don't push too hard to get back out there. I tried Badin yesterday and Highrock today and both looked like a war-zone. I don't ever remember so much red water and large floating debris. More rain tomorrow and Friday...
Speedy recovery ol boy! Don't over do it before you're knees are ready. Hope to see that Lund back on the Swamp when you get your Pro V legs back!

Speedy Recovery!
Pro V hope all goes well. You know I have that big pontoon with nice comfy seats. If you get to wanting to go but want plenty of room give me a shout and we will take the girl out.
Glad you are okay after surgery! Take your time and heal the right way. Had mine done 1 year apart. First was a bugger but second one was smooth sailing. Get healthy and get back on the water soon.:highfive

I was reminded (by SuperDave) that I hadn’t reported in. I had my surgery December 18th and was able to drive on January 1st (2 weeks). PT released me to get in the boat on day 23 so have been a couple of times but the fishing has been slow for me. I walked a mile on Sunday. This has been nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to everyone for your comments and the prayers and good karma sent my way. Rubbing Slab Sauce on the knees a couple of times a day helped too. I still want to fish with you cwright and now we can fish the main lake on your toon and the Lund on the swamp and abbots.
I have some family stuff the next couple of weekends but the water could use some rest in any case. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers and reports.

The best info I can give on the knee replacement is to stay ahead of the pain. Don't Macho out and live with it that will just delay the healing.

Sounds like the surgery and the recovery have gone well and I am hoping and praying that all keeps going at the current encouraging pace. Speaking from experience, however, and with all due respect... just remember even the slightest stumble or fall can quickly change or even reverse the course of all of that progress dramatically. Wishing you continuing progress and a speedy recovery with no such setbacks.
Special K, your advice is well taken. My Dr and others stories make me know how fragile this gift is I’m being conservative and careful to avoid a fall or infection. I hope that if you’ve had complications from similar surgeries that you ultimately are on the mend. This age thing isn’t for sissys.
