It's a pretty long podcast, lots of good into. I'm trying to get a pic from Wally of one of those new Snap Jack plastics he's talking about. Good dock shooting pointers discussed too.... I like the "never close the bail with the handle" pointer. I too always use my free hand to flip the bail.
My notes about colors I thought I'd post for my own good.
Wally said:
White/Chartreuse - always start off with this color, works on every lake.
Darker Murkier water water - Orange, Cajun Cricket, June Bug - Darker the water, darker the bait.
Lighter the water color, Lighter the bait.
Yep....that's what I always say too....I learned that years and years ago. No Moses didn't tell me...I think it was Cray lol

Here’s Wally’s new “snap jack” plastic bait. Looks very interesting. Gonna have to try it when it becomes available.

I bought some at academy and used them today and they were good. I still want to play ore with them but i can see where they can be a good addition to the arsenal.
Video to watch as well.

No problem. Would love to know how to get it to show like you did.
Top right of the Quick Reply block you'll see the film strip icon. It's the second one from the right. Click that, and insert the Youtube link.
Thanks for allowing us to see, Good info!
My question to Wally would be, if the dark FL water = dark color, why would he suggest always starting with white and chartruse and not black and chartruse? Lately ive been having my best luck with motor oil and chartruse, but I guess I will try the white.
yobuck, I may be wwwrrrro...not right, but I understood him to say if the water is darker he would start with the darker colors. Now I know his home lakes are pretty clear water... Just my 2 cents worth.
Thanks Slab. Really enjoyed the video. It definitely had some great info in there for sure.
