He's got some other Livescope video's too .... pretty impressive.
I think there are going to be a lot more crappie fishermen running at least one Garmin on their boat.
Really impressive!!!
i couldn't really see his minnow or the fish to well.but i believe him.after watching that video i searched for more videos of crappie on the live scope.looks pretty good to me
Wow every video makes me more impressed. If I was rigging a new boat Livescope would be on top of the list to consider.
If you go to his web page there is a video named "Panoptix winter" and he get a little closer view of the screen.

The Garmin Panoptix Livescope has been a big seller this year. Every video that comes out just confirms the effectiveness of this system. I have dedicated Lowrance and Humminbird customers adding the Garmin Livescope to their boats now. Pretty impressive technology..... Brian
Kosmo, you can get a 9" screen with the Livescope system for around $2100-$2200. PM me for more details ! Brian
That is neat.

WARNING!!!! DO NOT WATCH THESE VIDEOS!!!!! I did and it cost me $2k at BBG Marine.
Well I'd guess a crappie at 50' fow would look pretty small, just like they would on any DI unit. Most bass would as well. Not saying you can't see them but guessing the fish returns would be really small, espically if the fish are holding close to the bottom and 50 feet or so from the boat. I'd also guess you would need a larger screen size, like a 12", this would help. Just a guess on my part from what I've seen using traditional sonar.
Thanks
Reason i ask is on our lake crappie go deep Dec through Feburary, sit near the bottom, 40-50 ft

Just ordered mine yesterday, should get it in a few days.
Brett, you are asking good questions. I wonder about tight lining slow when crappie transition between deep to the creek mouths in 35 to 20 foot range? Should be good on the humps between the deep to deep spots off river bed channel. I like what I see but I think I'll wait. This puts it at three choices for me when I do upgrade. Lowrance HDS 12 or Helix 12 mega, now livescope! :juggle

LOL, now that's funny!!!
Wish I was good enough to be a guide but have a hard enough time finding enough fish for me to catch.
I will give an update on what I think once I get it installed and tuned in a little bit.
Really love my Birds so this will be a new experience for me.
Roy, save me a seat on the first pretty day at Kerr....You might have to tell Gene to stay at home..:Rofl

Here's a 360 / Livescope comparison video. The 360 would probably be better getting you onto a waypoint .... especially if you have the waypoints shown on the 360 screen (they don't in this video).... the Livescope is pretty sweet to see what's going on with the fish.
