Maintenance be my guess seeing how it's 4 feet above curve. They had Arkabutla shutoff for most the month of November and were doing some major work on it, maybe the crew moved on up to Sardis :dono haven't been there since last week.
I saw on he news where Enid, Sardis, and Grenada received some type of grants..Didn't get to see what it was for
[COLOR="#FF0000"]The committee-passed FY2019 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Bill funds the Army Corps of Engineers, including its extensive presence in Mississippi. The bill includes: $71.5 million for 27 authorized Corps of Engineers projects in Mississippi; $75 million for Environmental Infrastructure nationwide, which would be eligible to assist communities throughout Mississippi with water and wastewater infrastructure projects; and $53.8 million for the Continuing Authorities Program to allow the Corps to undertake small, localized flood control and related projects.
The bill appropriates $29.1 million for 14 authorized flood control and navigation projects within the Yazoo-Mississippi River Basin, including Arkabutla Lake, Enid Lake, Grenada Lake, Sardis Lake, the Port of Vicksburg, and the Port of Greenville. Funding is also provided to support the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway and the harbors at Gulfport, Pascagoula, Biloxi, and Rosed
Thanks, Cray! You cleared that up for us!
I hope they rebuild the floating dock at Grenada. It really helps older fisherman like me.

Has the bite changed since they shut the gates?

The floating dock at Sardis needs the side rails on the other side. Folks jam up the ramp getting on and off the dock.
Floating Dock is floating on the concrete ramp during the winter draw down, lol. Don't bother me much, even when she's in the water and a clueless crowd is using it I butt the boat up on concrete and go get my truck and trailer and go home. Will say good job to the Sardis COE, they are repaving the road to Hurricane and Indian Mound and have been and are still clearing a a lot of other ramps during the draw down. May inconvenience some of us a little here and there, but I think these guys and gals are doing a fine job!
Are the gates still closed? The weather looks decent for a couple of days but I figured the bite would be off until they start moving water out.
