D'arbonne Lake 11/27 and 11/28

Fished north of Hwy 33 both days. Tuesday was cold but no wind and I ended with 15 nice fish, biggest 1lb 8oz. They wanted plastics in the morning with Bluegrass and Tennessee shad being the best colors. Later in the day they seemed to want shiners.

Wednesday was warmer but with a little wind. I didn't get my first fish until after 9 and caught 6 before the wind started and chased me off the lake. Got 4 on shiners and the other 2 on plastic. Biggest today was also 1lb 8oz.

I had open heart surgery two weeks ago today so I haven't been fishing. I have talked with some friends and they say for some reason the bite has been unusually slow. You did well.

Still figuring out this style of fishing. I guess you would call what I'm doing a modified version of spider rigging. I have some trouble with my deep V catching the wind but I'm getting better. Up north we long line, fish minnows under a cork or throw jigs. My favorite, though, is though a hole in the ice at sunset using a minnow and slip cork.
