We're catching lots of crappie this fall on Donnie's gnats. The gnats didn't do much for us the last two years but this fall they've been on fire.
I used them all fall. 4 poles with gnats tipped with minnows and 4 poles with straight minnows. I couldn't tell any difference
in the amount of fish caught, but I caught bigger fish on the gnats tipped. My thinking was a little color along with a larger bait
presentation. I intend to continue using them for fall fishing. They are built to last. I never have to change one out unless I
mess up a hook on a deep throat or catfish.
Haven't used a minnow this fall except at the 2 tourneys I fished at Grenada. Been long lining and catching fish real good on the jigs even placing 10th in the MCC tourney this past Saturday with the jigs. Had 27 at Sardis Sunday on jigs so I can see where there color is working.
