Good read, thanks.
There are no crappie in lake Guntersville. They all drown today from the heavy rainfall. Sorry guys. Guess you’ll need to fish somewhere else
nononononono Shush !! ant no fish on that lake ! Except what’s at the bridges!
Nah, come on down. But, the best fishing is when there a NW wind about 25 to 30 mph.
Lol!

Attachment 321172Yes a Northeast wind is what bunches up the fish just like these this morning!:biggrin
:biggrin Stacked up like firewood.
Listen to what Fur told you. Absolutely no crappie to speak of in Guntersville. Just Green carp and probably coming soon asian carp
Attachment 321187 Found these stumps in the big G but wasn't any crappie to be had. The wife had to show here skills anyway.Attachment 321188
What did she catch it on.....bet it was a battle.
Problem for crappie was, you didn't have enough wind......:biggrin
Yes, yes. No crappie but plenty of ditch pickles and purple bass.
I found these today. Likely a school of puppy drum. Little'uns from that big one that Rogers wife caught. Definitely not crappie. Nope, no sir.

Alright Fur, I gotta ask. What is a ditch pickle and what is a purple bass?
OK, I was a little scared to google "ditch pickle" here at work but did anyway. Says its slang for largemouth bass....lol. I have no idea about purple bass though.
I'm thinking that a purple bass is a drum. I caught a few last weekend that were a purple ish tinge.
Great article thanks.
Good read. Hope to make it there someday.
