Good stuff as usual. I’m currently trying to find a map of my local city lake.
I learned to read a map and compass while in the service. I still use paper maps for fishing, hunting, and driving. I have electronic ones as well for all 3. However all my scouting and planning is done with paper maps. I also order topographical maps and study them too.

Great video! Thanks for posting Ed! Like Tim(Hnr3), I also use all sources available including
topo maps available on "www.topoquest.com", and print my own for study.
I use TOPO maps quite often and compare them with google earth to help find new fishing spots.
great info!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love maps. I spend more time looking at maps than I do the TV.

Paper maps here in Indiana show more and are way more accurate than Nacionics and Lakemaster as I like to compare all 3. Check out Fishing Hot Spots maps. Fishing Hot Spots | America's Preferred Fishing Map
I love using topo maps to locate places to hunt & fish. A few minutes of map study can help locate exceptional places to fish that most people just drive over on their way somewhere else. Even though electronic maps help, I prefer a paper map that I don't need battery power or a good signal to read.
Jim
Paper map guy here too. Been using them forever. I study them before tournaments and use my electronics to find those spots. Way more detail on paper. Plus you get to see the complete picture at one time.
I’m a lake map junky!
I'm a paper map guy. My boat is very low tech.

I carry a waterproof map on every lake I fish. Have a gps but I don't trust satellites that good! Plus, it could simply quick working.
