No, but I ordered one to replace an old Berkley cherry wood. It's just like his, I think, the CR5 6' Light power, Moderate-Fast action, 2-piece. Its hard to find a 6' light or ultra-light in a store, which is what I like for bream and crappie.
I'm kind of curious to know if they are sponsoring him, he's got a great big Cadence decal on the lid of his cooler.
There is a guy on YouTube called Regular dude John, a while back he and Richard did a joint video together. Regular dude John had a Cadence rod and reel giveaway on one of his videos, I'm guessing he may be sponsored.....so just a hunch is that Regular dude John talked Richard into trying one on a video and they (Cadence) may have sent him one as a thank you. :dono
All the reviews I’ve read seem really good on both rod and reel.
If you check further you’ll find reviews of how bad those reels are. QC is not good at all.

I thought I'd throw in my 2cents since Cadence was one of the first companies to contact me about youtube videos. I still use some of the Cadence reels 2000 and 3000 sizes. I had an issue with the bails breaking on the 1000 size reels. I did not think the rods were very high quality since most of them are 20 ton carbon (a lot of bull whip in the rods). My guess is The Machine was sent a few rod/reel combos to try out (I received 3 rod and reel combos last year), then Cadence would give some sort of promo code. Not sure if you would call it a sponsorship if Cadence isn't giving Richard Gene some commission on sales or flat rate payment for making videos. *Also I am not affiliated with Cadence nor do I receive any compensation from them, felt I needed to add that.*
