Have a safe trip and a good winter.
safe travels Larry and good luck fishing!
We had a good trip down. This morning Spiderman looked me up. He's going to rent us his boat. It;s a 16' with a 40hp motor, trolling motor, all ready to go. Been fishing off the dock and caught 2 Bream and 2 Catfish. It was 93 yesterday, but a cold front is coming in next week. They say fishing will get a lot better. Really have to thank Spiderman for helping us out with a boat. And also a special thanks to Jerry for being the middle man and getting Spiderman and I connected. Thanks to both you guys.
Glad it worked out for you, Larry. When I come down in late November I'll look you guys up. Maybe we can get together and fish Larto for a day.
Hooked up with Spiderman today, and picked up the boat. Sandy & I took it for a test run. She runs good and is stable. Looking forward to some fishing.
Well Larry, that is getting out of the cold and snow early. You and Sandy have a good time.:fish
I was on Larto Friday and didn't catch any keepers. The fish are there along with plenty bait balls but they didn't want my crankbaits. Get in touch with the fellow that owns the store, he is the resident guide also the folks that run Buds they can help put you on the fish. Hopefully this cool snap that coming will turn them on.
If your near the Redfish and spec areas my brother was just there and they KILLED the huge redfish and specs and he isn't a fisherman at all.
Now we need some pictures of Sandys fish.
The first one is the toughest. We've done good in Louisiana with shiners under a slip bobber. What were you using?
We caught some smaller ones up in the Bayou on Crappie Thumpers. I got this one on a #5 Shad Rap. Minnows and bobbers = catfish.
Larry, I am on my way to Minnesota for a week to see the grand kids. Going to make a road trip in November. Going to see you at Larto, then going to swing east to Orange Beach, Alabama and see Orville.
Way to go Larry, hope you have a fun stay
One thing for sure Larry, those fish are not used to seeing those Shad Rap's. Black and white or black and chartreuse tubes work good there. Shiners also. Good luck. Y'all try to come see the crappie.com group, at the D'arbonne event next month.
