Have you though about doing one in shad colors,( silver and black) with scales?
yes I have And will probably do one in the future There are so many different combinations To do with the scales In the future I will try to do A perch Also We will try to do a bluegill .Quote:

It is very, very time consuming and this technique can be very messy but the results are amazing. I was going to look into the possibility of getting an airbrush and a small compressor but the cost was way out of my league for just making lures for myself. I made a "Fish scale" screen that I pressed on to the lure and used a small amount from a spray can of paint. The look was good however it just took way to long to dry. I would have to use a different paint that dries in under a minute and still sprays a mist for the best effect Bob.
