I had 3" in my gauge at 11 this morning & its still raining.
I am up to 4" now at 2:15. I'm located about 25 miles west of lake wylie. Got everything ready to go after them just as soon as the weather breaks. Wondering what landing will be safe on wylie since they dropped the lake so much?
Nivens creek ramp was one of few open during drought in 2016. Here is a screen shot from a search for those ramp closings back then.

Water weights 8 pounds per gallon x 8 trillion. A hurricane is a heavy sucker. And it all was floating around in the sky.
Your comment made me think of this verse mustfish. Amazing huh.
Nahum 1:3
The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
Thanks for the scripture poorman how true it is. We were spared fellows

Glad to see so many in this community have their eyes fixed on God and his son Jesus Christ. My prayers go out to all who have suffered loss in this storm and may these trials bring people to a closer dependency and relationship with Christ Jesus.
