Man that's extreme. :dono I know a lot rains is falling and on the way but that is awful low. But I understand the panic that's out there. My wife is about to go freaking crazy over little crap around here. I think she'd bring the pool in if she could.:popcorn
The bright side is you can get under the bridges easier, just have to use a four wheeler instead of your boat
They pulled Roanoke Rapids lake down so low you can't get a boat off the trailer. I know Gaston and Kerr have been releasing a lot of water also.
I am glad they let some water out but that was a bit much!
Dam repair is a big concern when they predict flooding like they are with Florence. Easier to dump the lakes now than later.
It will be interesting to see how fast it fills up, looks like some people will have trouble getting boats off the lifts or out to winterize if it doesn’t fill fast. The forecast is calling for a wetter and colder than normal winter. Hopefully it 2 months away.
Im thinking I heard on the news that it would be around Wednesday before everything crested.
Going to be interesting for sure. The little creek on our place is as full as I've ever seen it.
The yadkin was at 2.1 level yesterday. It is expected to a record 24 by Tuesday. I think they lowered for a good reason.

It's only 6ft down it will rise quicker then they can let it out. There just being safe if they didn't bring it down and it got above full pull, more people would be complaining so they can't win for losing.

High Rock update The creek in the back of our cove is putting a bunch of water back into Lake. You can tell it's already coming back up.
Went to pull my pontoon out Friday and it was too low for me to get it out. Tied it off good to the dock. Hope it made it through the storm ok. May try to ride out tomorrow and take a look.
Just checked savetherock.org and the lake has came up 1ft since 10am
