That's a perfect example of why I don't use 2d .... where's the brushpile on the 2d side of the screen ?? Normally it would be showing a glob of colors. :scratchhead
Have you tried a higher frequency on the 2d setting & lower frequency on the DI setting ??
Yes, I adjusted the contrast, etc. after taking this pic as I also was expecting a representation. I need to review all settings once again. Thanks for the input.

Nice looking brush pile. I'd definitely set a way point on it so you could keep tabs on it.
Looking good! I'm liking the split screen for fishing as well.
trees on both si/di split mixed in with a thermocline . After looking at the DI the trees are pretty obvious on the 2d. With good 2d you can see some arches in the trees that may not be that visible with DI :cheers2

I tweaked it some and now it looks like this. Bait ball that ended up with crappie in the vicinity.

DI looks great, your 2d is better but needs a little more tweaking imo. Keep them coming.
Beerrun, really nice shot both 2d and di, thanks for posting.
Yes, I started not to post the pic as the world would see that I do not have my act together. I appreciate the comments. I tried to change contrast and a couple of other settings but still not there. Wonder if I should increase the kHz on the 2d? Could not find the toggle on the water so will need to check it out at the house. Thanks again.

Sensitivity and contrast are the main 2 adjustments on 2d, also changing to a diffrent color pallet could help. Might try using max mode as well. Your di shots look great.
*Press Menu 1 time to open the Xpress Menu ...
*Cursor down to "Active Side" ...
*Cursor to activate Left side (Sonar in the noted combo you have showing) ...
*Exit out of the Menu ...
*Press Check mark button ✔️ to change thru the available frequencies (limited to the "Beam Frequency" selection under the Sonar tab) ...

As usual, Rickie comes to the rescue. Thanks Rickie and I will do this tomorrow.

Good shots fellas . Thanks for posting them...
Ok, thanks to Rickie I changed the kHz on the Sonar. Without his help I would have never found the toggle. Thanks, Rickie.

The Down Imaging has a wider beam than dual beam -- 2D can miss by a couple of feet
Both images look really good! Much improvement in the 2d, di is really sharp.
after finishing adjusting 2d when you go over brushpile if di do not show fish ,forget 2d and go on:popcorn

I could use an interpretation on these.
I believe the first is a brush pile. Would it be safe to say that the darker blotches are fish.
Second looks like a log to me with a couple bass next to it.
