Heading to Ontario tomorrow for a few days of lake trout fishing.
Pulled out my bucktail box and the hair looks kinda dirty and dingy. Is there any way of cleaning the jigs and making the white bucktail look nice again? Or does a guy just pack his tying stuff and re-tie?

I would give them a try as is or maybe just try washing the hair?
I don't use Buck tails for my fishing, but have tied a good many so maybe someone else will chime in to help?
However I always tie something new when I am going fishing!

They only look bad to us. Fishem and when they are gone retie a few. Of course you already knew that, I fish and tie a ton of hair. It looks less than new but fishes pretty good any way. If in doubt, retie and enjoy.
Never had the need to clean any, but I would try some dish soap. If you think it might be an issue I would bring my vise and a tail or two. Never know when they’re gonna flip the picky switch.
