I have an order for some blanks coming in a couple of weeks and will need some field testers, but what I need now is your suggestions on what could be improved on "color change" on the cranks you use now.
See if using a paper hole punch would work for masking the eyes
One with every color that you have. Come to think of it why do crappie chase the colors we send down?

On the eyes...A dab of vaseline on a Q tip. Then paint....and when paint dry...just wipe the vaseline off
This is the second batch.
Mighty fine looking

Those are C 33 blanks 3 3/8" long and 1/3 oz. The bills are just as long as the C 55s, I can't wate to see how deep they dive. Teal season opens tomorrow morning so fishing is going to be interupted for a few days, more people on the water running around before daylight be careful.
Yep , it’s addictive, been painting a few my self. Love it myself, my dad was an artist , never took a lesson.
Guess that’s why I like it, here’s a few I’ve done in c55’s

Very nice! :HandsClapping
I like the color combination on those, you gave me some different ideas. Thanks for posting the picture.
Here is 6 more
Looking good!
I learned an expensive lesson this evening by taking the needle protection cap off my air brush. In the process of cleaning the airbrush and changing colors I knocked it off the holder and it hit the floor. Every time that happens chalk up another $11.
Good-looking baits it'll be interested to see how they fish!!!
Keep us posted.[emoji3]

This is what I've been doing on a rainy day. I'm also supprised at at how fast time flies and the progress I've made in my new hobby.
Wow those are very pretty, to pretty. Hang them on a wall an admire them. They will sell for thousands as art pieces! :HandsClapping
Nah ketch some big slabs instead!!! :ThumbsUp
Art work NAAH I think I'd rather see just the front half sticking out of some fishes mouth. That would be worth more to me.
It won't be long and I'm gonna my order in with you Chip.

Nice paint job on them cranks. I've just started to delve into the world of soft Plastics and injection molding. It's quite an addiction I do have to say, but man it sure is rewarding to catch a fish on a bait that you built or custom designed and made. This is a prototype of a fluke style bait that I've made out of polymeric clay. Now all I have to do is cast my mold and pour some new baits. I've found that the research and development and testing is half of the fun.
Fish on!Attachment 317677
