Fieldgoal U squeaked by too. I was fishing while they were kicking field goals. The older that I get, the less effect a group of 18-21 year old kids and an overpaid coach have in my life. I just don't get fired up about it anymore. I still enjoy watching SEC football, but I'll take fishing 100 times out of 100.
My fishing trip ended up being like Appalachian State. I wanted to, but I just couldn't bring it home. I got skunked yesterday for the first time in a long time. My shallow crappie moved, and I figured that they would have, but I couldn't find them. There were many, many schools of baitfish bigger than my boat up in the creek I was fishing. I was surprised to see the baitfish gathered up like that this early. Maybe that's a sign that we're gonna have and early fall. I was on the east side of the river and the wind was out of the east so the wind didn't blow them in the creek.
Everything I've seen one the water makes me think the fish know something we don't. They are moving to the fall spots and I'm thinking first few cool nights will set it off

Sorry I still love my college football. Lol. Hope y’all are right about them moving up. I got a couple of spots I want to try this fall that I had some success this spring. But when wheeler closes the gates they are impossible to get to so hope it happens soon.

Why can't you do both. I fish early then watch football later.
Go fishing in the morning and then watch the Tide roll in the afternoon or at night. By the way Fur, The barn looked pretty good especially on Defense. They played a good team who has a very good coach
I got up and took the kayak out Saturday morning so I wouldn't be sitting at home all day waiting for kick off. I caught 3 pretty good crappie early, then they shut down. But, it was good to get out. Hopefully the weather will cool off soon. And Roll Tide.Quote:
