Hey guys I searched but didn’t see any new posts asking everyone’s favorite jigging rod and reel in the past few years.
Looking at buying my first jigging rod and reel and would like to get everyone’s opinion on the best set up?
Thanks in advance!

b/m 12 ft. Sam Heaton rear seat . Slater plastic reel (about 7 dollars) if fishing less than 14 ft. . Deeper than that go to pflouger president on the mid- handle version .
I really like my 10 ft duck commander double touch. Really light weight, super sensitive and big time back bone.
10 ft. B'n'M Buck's Graphite Jig Pole with a small spinning reel. Right now I'm using Abu Garcia's in the 10 size.

I concur with what has been said so far, but that's only if you only intend on vertical jigging. If you want to use the rig for some casting as well, or even trolling, you might want to try the 9' SHSS matched with a PP #6920 or #6925. JMO.
St. Croix premier series rod.
Shimano Sahara or sendona reel. Just match up the lines weights between the two.

Without planning on using one, I won a SHSS in 10'. I found a reel that balances on the blank touch cutout, in my case a 1500 Diawa Sweepfire and spooled it with 8ib hi vis line. Excellent rod and I've punished it a bit, no issues. What they aren't designed for is over the shoulder casting. I split a lower section of the rod and BnM told me on the phone what I just said, and sent me a replacement anyway. I'm very happy with it.
My favorite is my 11' Todd Huckabee Pro Series and a ABU Revo S baitcaster
Mr crappie spinning reel mcs50 paired with a 10ft bgjp by B&M.Use it in 6-30fow and really like the setup.I also use split shot sinkers above my jig,#4 or 5 splitshot is best.T9o much weight and you loose your feel, can feel steaks and brush good sensitivity with the setup above.

10' Ozark Tony Edgar rod. One of the most sensitive rods I've had in my hands. The other is a 9' Outlaw rod. The Outlaw is super lightweight.

10 ft SH SS with cheap $11 Shakespeare Alpha size 20 spinning reel. 6 lb Mr Crappie hi vis line. Also have same rod/line with Mr Crappie solo reel.
10'Acc crappie stix,11' Ozark both rear seat.both are good poles.I use any cheap spinning reel that will balance them.
It's all about preference. I'm a tackle junkie and have had 1 or 2 of about all of them at some point. My go to is a 10' rear seat Ozark, close 2nd a grizzly jig elite. Reel makes no difference. I like ice reels, any will hold line.

Disagree that reel diesnt make a difference. When jigging over 14fow i believe reel will make a difference.I use a frw mr crappie solo reels and when you get over 14fow its a pain if you have to reel. You can pull them up by hand then you have all that line in the floor, aggrevating.Thats why i prefer a spinning reel, and if you want to cast you can.I will use the solo reel when shallow and like them alot.

10' ozark rear seat and a 10' acc crappie stick rear seat I like the bucks mini reels on them! And one thing that will increase the sensitivity it use braided line!!!!! It's makes all the difference in the world to me

Thanks for all the info guys, I ended up ordering 3 lol. One for me one for my wife and you know the grizzly jig 3 pole discount can’t be passed up so you know lol. I ended getting the b’n’m 10’ bgjp, duck commander 10’ double touch, and 10’ Sammy Heaton super sensitive rear seat. Got a solo I’m gonna put on the ss rear seat and then mr. Crappie 50 spinning reels. Gonna put berkley 10lb hi vis fusion line.
I have a BnM Buck and I love it. Not really worried about the real for my long pole
