Took one of my good friends out on a Catfishing trip on Friday . We caught about 50 by 11 am and kept a limit each . Everyone needs a change of pace from time to time . Kids love this simple fishing , even us old ones . :biggrin Nice to just toss out a line and visit on the water for a few hours while reeling in fish after fish .

I figure Channels about 1/3 and if you catch Flatheads would be closer to 40 %. But I go back and trim all the red meat and yellow off back of Channel fillets , maybe a little less ..Quote:

Nice catch Nimrod. I love how a good size catfish puts a bend in a rod. One of these days I need you to take Jacob and I on a catfish trip. Jacob would love it!

I get ridiculed for keeping catfish while crappie fishing but there are some in my family that prefer them . This saves the crappie for a later day . We have grown fond of blackened catfish .
