Are you ready for some Clash !

After getting with some of the upper crust on this issue ,It has been decided that Sept. 29th will be the date for this years Clash.It will be a day trip. And beyond belief it will be held on High Rock Lake. Out of Bringles Ferry Ramp. Now this is not a border lake as Wylie is. But in order to give those Tar Heels a fighting chance we will bring our traveling road show to ya ! As of right now it is a 4 to 1 butt kickin favoring the Lappers ! Now ya want to change all this all ya got to do is beat us on your home lake. Any questions ? All the details will be posted on both boards as they are finalized. But mark down that date. It is gonna be a good one !. Keep checkin close for more info. Get ready for kickin number five !

I may make it but it depends on my next knee surgery. Right now because of being diabetic I have one spot on my kneecap that has not healed in 2 months.

Dang the 29th makes my life harder. I'm fishing Jordon on the 28th for Operation North State, I may have to find a hotel nearby and stay over Friday night.
I'll figure something out.

My plan is to go the day before and scout around a bit, never had much luck there. Then I'll get a hotel room for the nite. I don't do sleeping bags in the boat anymore

Is there any decent hotels near the lake. If I can make it I will come up Friday and fish and check the lake out and then get a hotel for the night. I should know more about my surgery date next Thursday.

Info will be posted soon on the time, meeting up place for the convoy and other important info. We already know it's Sept 29 at High Rock Lake on Bringle Ferry Rd. Just plan on being there around 5:30/6 am for meet up and instructions if your not going to follow anyone up there. I'll see if I can't get the cattle prod out of the barn and go look for Ofishlbizzness and get some info out of him. :Rofl I know everyone's eager to get this years event started. NC guys think they got it in the bag but I hate to spoil it for them so soon. The plaque is coming home with us! They seem to think Jig Puller will bail them out so, MTHook and TurkeyfootNC can dance in the streets. NOT HAPPENING! :crazy:

Plans are being made to be there!!! Have had bad withdraws from not crappie fishing, looking forward to feeling that thump of a jig falling under the dock and pulling a slab out.
We are planning on coming up on the 28th setting up camp at campground for the clash until the 30th. Then it gets better I have missed you guys so much we are planning to come to Ebenzeer campground on lake Wylie for a few days of more camping and fishing. Then we plan to go up to Hickory to see family and fish my old lakes for a day or so. Looking forward to seeing all of my SC friends again and if you want (or would let me) I would proudly be a supporter for the SC team.

Hey spotrunnin ,hope you can join us for the clash. I see where you lived in surf city NC and lake hickory is your home lake. Sure wish you would reconsider fishing for SC boys. I'll give you some of my favorite jigs and even give you some live minners if you would fish on the NC team [emoji12]

Thanks for the offer Jig Puller but when I did in the western part of the state I fished HR pretty often and thought I would help out my SC friends because they helped me out when I would come down there way to fish Wylie. Bigg Dawg thanks for the compliment but there aint nothing special about me just a crazy crappie fisherman like you. Thanks for the suggestion of booking camping site early will do that. I know those NC fellows can hold there own, for sure with MTHook fishing for em all ya got to do is drop a hook with a minnow and a crappie will find it. Looking forward to seeing all my crappie fishing friends again NC\SC both.

Double what he said on booking at Ebenezer.They stay booked all the time. My boss tried for over a month to get a weekend spot. Glad you coming down. And if you cant book a spot you can use Dawggs backyard !

MT , the only thing I was nervous about happened 20 years ago when my wife said she was going to divorce me for crappie fishing to much. I cut back on fishing so much , I was going 4 days a week but I compromised with her like a good husband should do , so now I only fish 2 to 3 days a week. Will be fishing HR hard over the next several months maybe I can get them dialed in by the end of September.

Looks like I can make this one as my next knee surgery is not until November the 21 so I can get a couple trips in. I plan on coming up on Thursday night and get a hotel and fish Friday and Saturday. See you all there and if anyone wants to meet me n Friday and fish I am willing to. Never been on the lake so I need all the help I can get.

I've only fishes it once way back ago. Looking forward to possibly getting to come to this one. Nephew got an older boat and we are going to try to get it ready for this.
If not. Then I'm not sure.
Trying to get us a new member. He's a good guy. Maybe from Lowell, but he's ok in my book...lol
