the switch is on/on center off momentary. This is just a reference picture. The switch only operates the relay and only requires about 100 ma of current (.1 amp). Pick what U want with the spdt center off type switch.
Very cool Cane Pole. I assume the constant on is forward and the momentary is reverse. Can you show us the pin out on the relays so we can better understand this circuit. Thanks
The schematic is on the relay including PIN numbers. The switch is center off and has two "on" positions. One position operates One relay and the other position operates the other relay.

Hard to draw a schematic on my phone, but not impossible.

I sent this circuit to Jerry Blake a few
years ago. He used my circuit to control a transom mounted troll motor to control the position of the rear of the boat. The was mounted at 90 degrees to give aft of boat left/right control from the bow. It worked good for him

Here is the schematic of the Trolling motor reversing circuit I just drew up (again). Can't remember what I did with the last one. This application can be used in many places. Use it in conjunction with a gearhead motor and you can make a lift for your trolling motor.
This circuit provides electric braking. If you want the motor to coast, you add another relay with 2 diodes. Simple.
This is a gotta have circuit for power hungry folks like myself. Too lazy to do it by hand, just push a button and walla!
