I wasn't able to put anything together last year at Talquin, but things are looking a lot better this year. Just wondering how many folks would be interested in a "Slabtogether" on the weekend of November 10? No raffle tickets or door prizes, just some good ole fishing!!!

Looks like enough interest has sparked on the Florida Board, so Let's Do It!!! This year, we'll be holding it at Ingram's Marina. They have remodeled all their cabins and even have 3 (I think) new Park Models and lots more boat slips. I'll probably be headed there on Nov. 7th or 8th. The fishing should be getting good by that time and the fish are usually in the area just right around the bend from Ingrams. If you want to make reservations, the number is 850-627-2241. The address is 354 Lois Lane, Quincy, FL.
I talked with Sarah at Ingram's Marina this afternoon. There are cabins available for the Get Together the week of Nov 7-12. She has 1 Big Cabin that has 4 BR and 2 Bath that will sleep 10 people if a group wants to get together and rent it. There is also a 3 BR 1 Bath 6 people. November is usually a busy month at Talquin so if you know that you will be attending, give her a call and make your reservations...850-627-2241. She also told me that there is a restaurant just down the road, Country Boys, can work out a fish fry for us. We catch and clean the fish and take the fish to them. They will add French Fries, Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw with a drink for $5.00/person.

I wish I could make it. It always ends up on my anniversary weekend. Already planned trip go mountains.

Made reservations at Ingrams from Wednesday-end of week.
I have talked to Sonja at Country Boys Restaurant and reserved the patio area for Friday evening, November 9th. If the fish are biting like I think they will be, Litewirehooker and I will supply the fish and Country Boys will do the cooking for us. Baked beans, cole slaw, hush puppies, french fries and a drink will be provided. All we have to do is show up, eat and leave. No cooking or cleaning up. The price will be $10 per person, this will include the meal and the tip for them. If anyone is interested, we can have a Fruit Jar tournament on Saturday. We'll try and get a head count as time gets closer. Right now it is looking like about 20-25.
