Yes they are, I use to catch those often while night fishing for walleye in Minnesota
Wish we had them down here. They are very good. Taste like our bluegill.
Bull Shoals has a few, I have caught a few out of Bull Shoals only a couple big enough to eat.
We can catch a bunch in Canada but size is the problem. We found that trolling number 4 flicker shads in Firetiger is what we caught the nice ones on. Night crawlers work but catch the baby ones.
Very nice !
That crappie has issues. :Rofl Nice catch, never had any yellow perch.
Thanks for your posts. I have enjoyed them.
We used to let them go while walleye fishing not knowing that they were good to eat.
Nice Fish! Looks like a good time was had.
looks like good eating to me, there are a few on Table Rock, and Stockton lake, but hard to find, and when I do I don't tell where.
Nice catch.Have not seen any of those around here in central kentucky for probably 40 yrs.I was a young boy when i last caught one.
On Stockton beagle? Easy on the crown. :biggrin
Caught one on the Tenn- Tombigbee Waterway and had no idea what it was . lol :biggrin
I have went last 2 winters to south Dakota ice fishing for yellow perch. Fun to catch and great to eat.
JD,
No need to drive all the way to South Dakota (unless you want to) for them........we have them here in Wisconsin in spades.

We go to the northeast part of south Dakota, usually fish north of Webster.
It is funny most of those waters were duck sloughs you could wade across with chest waders when I was a kid. Now they are lakes with boat ramps and a few even have resort locations.
Mostly north Hazleton and opitz lake the last few trips
