Lowrance Fish Reveal Update

How can I remove this junky update from my Gen 3 Touch? I hate this upgrade. Spent 19 minutes on the phone yesterday with Lowrance tech, could barely speak English, and he walked me thru some stuff.
Fished again today with it and I just don't care for it.
And just removing the file doesn't work...

Is it the fish reveal itself that bothers you? If so, just disable it.

I have been able to disable it on side scan, but can't for the life of me get it disabled on down imaging.
I also think this option might be better with a total scan transducer vs. my LSS-2 transducer. Regardless, my biggest heartburn is that I'm struggling to see the structure now in the fish reveal mode.

If anyone has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think fish reveal works in sidescan. It only works with downscan.

To disable it, go to your downscan structure screen, hit advanced, and then tap "FishReveal" and you'll see a red mark in the bottom right corner of the box. It's disabled.

According to the Lowrance website and Reveal videos, it is supposed to work with side scan. I think you have to turn your overlay option for side scan.

Thanks for the responses. I'll look at my unit when I get home.

I see nothing on the video about Fish Reveal on SI..I think you will find out it is for DI only...

Lowrance Fish Reveal Update

Downscan overlays traditional. Traditional can’t detect fish found on sidescan because they’re too far away. If 2d can’t see it, it won’t “fishreveal”.

My side scan pucker is lying in the boat, not hooked up. I mostly use gps and 2d, a back to basics tactic. I have been round robin about this stuff. I depend on luck. It works!

My sidescan really only helps me locate structure. Then I can circle back and go over it in DI to see if anything is on it.
