Don't try to fix it....this trip I went back to just using shiners.....they seemed to work just fine....put those jigs & cranks aside....kept 15 sacs....big one at the top went just over 14".....4-5 ft deep in 10 fow under a slip cork....north of the interstate....just the right amount to clean....

Those sure do look nice Mr. Bruce. And you are right about a couple of things; first of all, just the right number to bring home and clean. Second, if it ain't broke, why worry with trying to fix it. Congratulations! For me, I haven't caught more than 10 or 12 in so long, I would probably get plumb mad if 15 or 20 wanted to get into my ice chest one day. LOL. Liar, liar, pants on fire! :Rofl

Went back Tuesday (6/26)...shiners only ...8 ft deep in 18 fow.....10 nice keepers all in a 15 foot square area...gave them to 2 older guys fishing nearby...they were fishing water too shallow to hold fish....gave them the rest of my shiners and told them to go fish in my spot and how deep.....they were really excited....
