It Just DID NOT matter yawl
Let me star by saying my apologies for lack of input lately , just very busy and don't seem to have time for everything that needs doing .
Now lets get on with a fish story I say , My bud says lets try yet another lake we have never been on . I say sure why not , it could happen that there aint crappie in it or we cant find them in it you know . And sure enough we scanned and scanned and got a few what I think was bream hits in about 13 fow and saw deep water fish that at one spot were sand bass and another that were bass . Both of the deep water structures in the clearer water at one end of the lake didn't seem to have crappie on them nor did that 13 fow spot either in the clearer waters .
So up the feeder river we went and it got lots shallower and the water got muddy and there was lilly pads and pretty much nada for fish or cover for the fish other than the lilly pads . We found an area of some kind of beds that was in the hundreds in about 5 fow and then started to leave that area kinda scanning the opposite side of the river . Bingo my bud says look at that ! I said what the heck is it ? He said a pack a FISH ! Well I don't know because it looks really odd to me on side imaging and it is kinda of glowing and don't look right to me . he hits the screen and deploy and the trolling motor drops in and runs over to the spot in 10 fow and first drop KABOOM a crappie !
And for sure it was a load of crappie sitting in that spot like unreal ! We sat there for 2 hours just ripping them out of the water and the best part of it was ….IT JUST DID NOT MATTER what you used for bait …...:highfive
ANY COLOR ANY SIZE and what ever your heart desired in a smaller jig type of lure got it done !
so I dropped the box on them as did he and we put a bunch in the ice chest and as I noticed on DI the big pile they was on wasn't really big at all , it was the fish all over it that made it look big and as the day wore on the pile got smaller ….:yikes
hope you enjoy the read and photos ….:cheers2
