Wow, glad all is good!
I done told you that your mind is getting bad old man
It happens to the best of us, I ain't even 40 and my mind is going bad. Got all the way to the lake Sunday and forgot my individual holders for pushing off the front deck. At least you had the safety chains hooked up and crossed as they should be.
Glad all went well and no dents or dings.
Rode from Florence MS. to the ramp at Ross Barnett . Was close to" Rapids on the reservoir ". He went in to use restroom I sat in truck . Shortly before his return I got out and there was no boat . On his return I ask him if he saw anything odd ? He screamed My BOAT ! where is my boat ? The Haggard was so loud(he was almost deaf) we did not hear it come loose .No safety chains . If it had been mine it would have killed someone . It came off not a 1/2 mile back , went down a slight bank, glanced off a small pine and hurt nothing . Never had to ask him again about lock or chains . I DO NOTHING AT THE RAMP WHEN FISHING IN OTHERS BOAT AND WANT NO HELP IF FISHING MINE . That's when all the I thoughts start . lol glad all ended well with you as well . Could think of a 100 places that boat could be ,and none were good . :biggrin
Been pulling them for 50 years. Lost one 2 years ago that was setting on top of the ball locked down. Safety chains kept it
straight, dragged it about 30 yards. Just kept slowing up and let it stop on it's own. Didn't hurt anything. My mind was
somewhere else when I hooked it up. Also launched one 4 or 5 years ago with the drain plug out.
Glad you found it in time Cray. My buddy from Kansas City came down one time. He had his boat and wanted to go fish Sardis. We made the 4 hour drive from my house only to find out he left his boat keys in KC.
You shoulda turned right around and headed for Tunica.:biggrin
It's official now.....welcome to Team Geezer lol

What is really scary is I get on a new section of I69 by the house and ride it to 305 which is about 15 or so miles. In that stretch of brand new hwy there are 3 dips that at 65 almost bounce trailer tires off the pavement. Can't believe I hit all 3 and it didn't jump off. Good Lord was riding with me this morning.
Think the good lord was driving. Lol. Glad every thing worked out.
Mine does....

Must have pretty good tongue weight. glad it turned out well.
Lucky that turned out ok... I had a friend that dropped one on the hitch, but failed to put that leg with the wheel up... It didn't work out so well!
Father in law borrowed my old pontoon boat a few years back to take to Grenada. He was pulling it with a Dodge turbo diesel and he never noticed when that 28 ft. Boat got loose. They got into Grenada and has wife looked back and saw that the boat was no longer following them. They turned around and backtracked, found the boat unhurt in the front yard of a family in downtown Grenada. It stopped about 15 feet from a sandpile where 3 toddlers were playing.
My dad also lost the same boat pulling it from George cossar park back to the Long Branch bait shop for gas. It went off to the right side of the road into some trees about 3/4 mile before he got to the main road. Put a dent in one pontoon but they were lucky.
Pullin into bayou meto one morning i saw the transom end of a boat off in the woods. Kept goin and saw a jeep backing up with Georgia plates. Guess they thought the boat was a necessity to kill some ducks[emoji848].
