Anyone been trolling lately? I’ll be taking my SIL Saturday and want to find enough fish to make it interesting before the heat gets up. Looking to fish Monroe but open to suggestions. Thanks.

If all the shad are still piled up between railroad bridge and power plant discharge I would be working that area over before heading into lake.
You mean it's going to get hotter?[emoji12]

Wish I had time to go fishing, Bought a new house on Bay Lake in St. Cloud so we had enough room for my mother in law to live with us, between moving, getting the other 2 houses ready for market I get about 5 min 3 times a week to stop at a canal on my way home to get in a few cast's. This lake is calling me, or is that taunting me. I think it is taunting because my back property markers are in the lake!
CG, promises of a hotter tomorrow are all over the news.
CD, I hope you get a chance to decompress soon. I know I can't stand it long when I have the urge to go.
Taunting me every day, This is my back yard

CD, that's why God made kayaks. Or maybe a canoe. All work and no play and all that.......
I know this info won't help you Skeet, but I have been on the big slabs for about a month now and caught all fish spider rigging. Good luck on Saturday.

Thanks Vic. I don't know what he'll want to do but we'll have fun regardless. If I spider rig I have to have an idea of where they may be, and I haven't been on the lake in a while.
Something new, something old, Skeet, a lot of high water probably has them on the move to just about anywhere, the St. Johns has crested the banks down by Rt 50 crossing.
Mike and I went today and decided to chase green fish and see if he could get the hang of a bait caster. Fish were tough and the app said that activity was in the basement. we threw topwater, spinnerbaits and soft plastics. I had one for about a count of 5 on a Spook and boated one about 16" or so. End of story. Got hot, everyone that had been fishing around us was long gone, and not a soul was seen trolling. We went to the NW corner of Monroe. Hope some of y'all did better. Mike said very nicely that he liked that spinning reels much better. He did try, gotta give him credit.
