Added to my calendar.
If anyone has ideas for a local charity that we can “pay it forward” to please share. Last year we struggled finding someone to donate to. You can message me or post. Whatever you’d like to do. Thanks and looking forward to paying it forward!!!!

Why? You know where to borrow one. There should be a big temperature difference from 1st week of Nov.

Yep. Skillet taters and cobblers unless the crowd gets tired of them.
Anybody gets tired of them...just more for me and Charlie and Brian to eat

I’m making my plans to come down for the week. Jere, we’ll never get tired of your cooking.
Thanks guys, I know ya don’t. Just posted it as a touge in check remark. All the guys have nothing to say but good comments about my cooking. Except for the fishing cooking crew that doesn’t get a chance to get some before it’s gone. Seen some pretty sad faces looking at an empty skillet. :yikes
Going to cook a seperate skillet for them this year. They work hard cooking.
They definitely deserve it ! last fall was my first and hope it’s not my last but yaw worked that thing like a well oiled machine! Even in the cold!
Sorry boys, last year was my first, would love to come back this year but will be in Canada knocking geese out of the sky, wonder if I could get some of that dutch oven cobbler, and Scottymoe swamp beans for my trip North

I recently learned the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife's Camp Currie has a scholarship fund that helps send children to their conservation camps each year. This could be a good way to help expose some deserving kids to fishing, boating, hunting and natural resource conservation.
That sounds great! I will check into that. Thank u

How do you all raise the money for the donations? I've never been to an event and I won't be able to make this one because I will be in Michigan on my annual Grouse hunt. However I wouldn't mind helping out.
I would like to donate a raffle item. I think it would be a nice thing to do. Who should I mail it to? And when should I mail it?
That would be great! When we get closer to the shindig just pm myself or Buffalo13 and we can get u an address to send it to. We appreciate your generosity.

It doesn't look good for me attending this year. Just got home from the hospital after having my right knee replaced and will have the left one done as soon as possible. Scottymoe will be spending a month in Maine so he will not be returning. I really enjoyed last year an was hoping to make it back. I will send a donation for the charity. Don
Cray and I have a cabin reserved at Sportsmans. C29

This is a great place. I don't know if it fits what your looking for. Brain Injury Adventure Camp About Us. It is about 90 miles from the KY lake. I'm a police officer, just happening to be retiring on Oct 12th so I cannot make it once again. Anyway, we host 2 camps a summer for inner city kids there so they see police are their friends and to get them out into nature and take them fishing. We always have to find sponsors to cover cost for food and craft style stuff. I also do Boy Scout camp-outs with my son and we make a donation to the camp for letting use use the location as a safe place for our kids plus it helps them with the operational cost. The guy that runs it is a great person. Military Vet., I believe served in Vietnam.
Anyway, just a suggestion and if I can make it down on the 13th after my PARTY on the 12th I hope yo meet a few of you!
Gonna be able to make the Saturday lunch. Mae can't make it so I'm bringing a friend. Will bring a raffle item and desert. Looking forward to the visit. Also looking forward to the skillet and the carp. "D"
Be good to see you again Danny....We can team up and make up some new walmart stuff lmao
I'll be on midnights that month, so I can meet up for breakfast with some of you gewbers!
