Blue Mountain bucket

Blue mountain is still doing pretty good. Fishing 12 feet of water yielded a limit today. Caught everything. Channel cat, drum, bass, gar. Hooked something that took drag like crazy, when I though I had it tired out I tightened the drag and the fight was on. That’s where I screwed up, whatever It was it snapped the line like it was nothing......maybe a flathead? I was too hot and ready to get to the house to set all the fish out for good pics but here’s a few Attachment 303360Attachment 303361

That prob came off wrong. I meant we did better last Saturday catching them than we did this morning. We stayed till 2:30 or so and struggled to catch keepers. The wind just wasn't cooperating. I was finding several fish, they just weren't interested.

Nice catching !! Spider rigging or single poling?? To both ArkieJAson and Stainless?

Bet they was spider rigging . But I figure they can be caught jigging too .:twocents You might even catch a few gooberblaster . :Rofl

I had four poles on the front spider rigging and my wife and two kids were fishing over the side with single poles. My wife and oldest girl were catching them left and right.

I was also using the wall of hooks [emoji23]. I’ve never caught so many short fish, Bet I caught 200 fish to get the 30 keepers

We did the same yesterday. We had to throw back a bunch of small ones. We did catch some of the nicer ones out in the middle of the lake but it was slow.

Hey man, that "wall of hooks" is hard to beat !!! Especially when you have had shoulder and wrist surgery and holding a rod all day makes you hurt. I may try to get over there one day next week and see if I can catch my limit of 8 or 10 in a few hours. Thanks for the report and you guys keep working them over while Nimrod is fishing other places.

I need a change of scenery . Tired of sitting on same 3 lakes lately . Blue Mtn has some good scenery and fishing ain't bad either . One draw back to that lake can be wind . If it blows those mtns seem to funnel it right down that lake ! :yikes

Nimrod.. I finally caught a fish on the “Nimrod Special” this evening. I was trying everything I had to try and catch some fish.. sadly, I failed with only 10 keepers. Donated them all to a family bank fishing at Ashley Creek.

Nimrod the lake is awesome scenery.....few bald eagles cruising around. The wind is no joke tho. It’s made me want to leave a few times

They work , but just like dynamite if you don't drop it in the right spot you won't get much results . :biggrin
