That's a nice one....
It must be close to 24 inches?
:biggrin
Big Fish, I wonder how much the laundry basket and the cutting board weigh?
Additional photo. If you are familiar with tournament weigh ins you would know the scales have been zeroed. Attachment 302981

Awesome!
5lb. 4.6oz.
Awesome! That a giant for sure!
That is a beautiful crappie.

No not a tournament but just meaning probably the scales were zeroed. Don't matter where the fish was caught. This is a crappie forum and this is a great crappie. No need to question the weight of the fish. Take it at face value and show the man and the fish some love. Largest I've ever seen regardless if the scales were or were not zeroed.
On the Facebook page there was a picture of the Tennessee Game & Fish Dept. weighing and certifying the Crappie.
TWRA certified the weight at 5lbs 4.6oz
I saw a 4lb 15oz crappie that was caught in Dallas. Probably not a record since it was caught on a trot line on a goldfish. Still an impressive fish!
The owner of the bait shop/meat market had it displayed on ice that morning waiting for G&F to come by and certify it. When he stepped in back for a moment, some low-life stole that fish.
Tenn. game are waiting on DNA results to announce state and world record. It is both once certified.
That would be cool! Lets me know there are crappie of that size out there. Maybe not in our lakes but gives a man the drive to go after them. Where do y'all think, Santee?. There is a photo of a 3.91 at Hill's on High Rock also a 4.25 weighed at Tamerac but unofficial scales. I would be happy with either.
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing
