Another costly jig day @ LP 05 14 18

Tyed 8 the night before and sacrificed 5 more. Now I have to pour - no excuses.

Most of the lost jigs were on fish diving into structure. The areas I'm fishing are deep but there is a lot of stuff in the water. Most break offs are over flooded brush piles. Last 2 fish were broke off - needed to see those! Lots 11" and big 10" fish - worth the lost jigs.....

Staying in 24 to 28 FOW, water temp was 66 to 68*F, lake is still rising.

Great fish pics. No doubt some of the best ever. The CNBG are outstanding. I need a few 10 inchers like that around here.

Nice fish....have to go to a trout stream to find those water temps around here....LOL. We just seemed to skip spring and it is now full blown summer.

Nice fish Sonny, we found a new spot today in the south east corner in about 11ft. Blue gill and big crappie hitting the roadrunner. Lots of big bass in there taking our lures from us on the 2lb. line. We managed to land a few bass but it wasn't easy with all the brush in that area.

fc - this lake is in a migratory path that birds take advantage of. Lots of birds, bug hatches & baitfish, and warm water all year = big fish.
