It was a beautiful week end. The weather was fabulous but the wind was a little tough on Friday. Saturday it was perfect. We had a smaller crowd than usual but the same amount of food. There was a lot to take home. To you guys and gals that missed it, well you missed it and we missed y'all. The weather has the fish somewhat confused, they are not on the banks spawning but also not on the deep brush piles. Many of the females we cleaned still had eggs, go figure. Marty was able to find some on docks Saturday and Chuck and Bill found some late Saturday under the Pendelton bridge.
We had a great time and meet some new people. I want to welcome Ernie to the forum and thanks for the deer/pork sausage. I also want to thank Chip for the trip on Friday morning.

The last picture shows young bass anglers lined up waiting to be released for the Louisiana State Championship tournament. I believe the final count was 158 boats. Believe me, the tournament start was a sight to behold!

Some of us spoke today about next year's gathering. Talk is about moving it up a couple of weeks to the second weekend of May. Fishfried (Danny), says he is all for it. As well as Marty, Gene, etc. He said he planned to booking on the way out. Spoke to the woman while checking out, and she says that the new rule is that all reservations for 2019 are to be made after Jan 1. Serious phones calls there come Jan 2 with tournaments, etc. I'll take care of it for those committed to attend.
Bill make a separate container of tator salad to take home for me. I'll enjoy that with some Hemphill BBQ brisket I brought home. Excellent time me and Ann had.
