Good luck.
As your headed into Monroe just before the the lake widens out there is a big shellcracke/bluegill bed just on the corner of that bend and back towards I4 on that north shore. Seen boats setting on there every afternoon this week so I know its active.
I’ll check into it thanks!

I might have to go and check into that come morning. Thanks Mike. You've told me of it before and saved me the call to remind me. Wanna go? Call me.
They weren’t biting real hot on Monroe but the tilapia sure were!ill post when we get off the water

Shellcracker can be caught in the reeds outside Gemini creek.

Good Lawd them things are ugly......and them feet aint pretty either:Rofl.....just kiddin , glad yall caught some.
I too am interested. Don't want the meat but can you imagine the fight on my tiny rigs? I've heard mostly bait answers and I don't use live bait often.
Put anything in their bed and they will remove it. After their spawn is over little balls made of oats is what the fellas at Gemini Springs use. Not sure what they add to help keep on hook though.
I wish we had them in NE Florida I would like to catch some. Don
Super late on this but we run the boat a bit faster than normal net or night crawler.

Late seeing this but they will tear up a regular crappie rig or put a night crawler on a jig head.
But if your good with a cast net it’s easy.
