Ross Barnett Minnows

Hello all, me & my brother will be making a trip to Ross Barnett in the next few weeks. We plan on staying in Ridgeland and launching at the ramp close to spillway. Do you guys know the closest place with minnows.

Tommy’s on 43 by the launch ramps gives the best count on minnows.

What BRM said is true about the count but they’re not close to Ridgeland but if you’re planning on launching up at 43 I would definitely buy them there

I would stay in Ridgeland pull boat up Trace to Tommy's at hwy 43 buy minnow and what ever else you need . If you go to 43 you have a choice of going up river or down river but most of all you can get out of wind if its blowing that day . Putting in a damm in wind is tuff !

Next few weeks, I'd single pole the stumps near 3 prong or pull cranks

Did you mean to pull cranks at the 3 prong area. Are you guys already catching them on cranks, I thought that was a little later on, but I can't know.

Lower lake, south of 43. Three prong is about three miles or so from Twin Harbors, going toward the 43 bridge. Dead center of the lake.

If you do decide to run up the Trace to launch or buy minnows, be watchful of your speed... That lady Ranger has been handing out tickets on that stretch, particularly just about where you start seeing the water, for the past few days...
