Amen!!!
My next attempt to fix this is Teflon tape. I have filled nibble jars with scents, and wrapped the threads on the jars with Teflon tape. So far so good.
I get rid of them jars as soon as I buy Berkley Gulp products. They are useless when it comes to holding in liquids.
I use urine specimen jars from a local drug store... they have worked great
I use urine specimen jars also. Pop
Good idea. Going to try that one

You can go to any arts and craft shop and get small plastic containers. I have a few for backpacking out of REI sports shop that I am using for Slab sauce.
The only time I've heard the Slabsauce bottle leak are when someone opens it to smell it, and does not close them all the way. There's kinda a double seal on them, there's a ridge on the top side of the bottle below the threads that the cap closes tight over, and there's the regular seal on top. Plus I store the filled bottles on on their sides, in small ziplocked baggies, just so I can see leaks ahead of time. And I've found none btw.
I am lovin this post. i can see me going into cvs and telling the young lady at the script counter i need some of those urine jars to put my fish bait in.:cheers2
Do y’all add urine for a little “extra” scent?

I'm wondering if baby food jars will seal the deal ? ( pardon the pun ) I think the seal in them are more of a rubber,vs the styrofoam disc Berkely spends so much money on.
Here is a plastic container, holds 2 oz.

if you search REI, they have others also.
Uncle Josh pork rind jars work also as I have a few of those still.
Have any of you tried wrapping them with plumbers tape ??
Ok,I've given the leaky jars more thought, today I bought a sheet/ roll of cork,I'm going to discard the old styrofoam gasket, and replace it with a cork gasket. The cork is a bit thicker than the styrofoam, but flexible enough that I believe it will do the job.
slab sause doesn’t leAk

Ok,after a few days of testing different ways to get the gulp jars not to leak, the final test ( cork gasket ) was an utter failure.I will try automotive sheet gasket next, but that's gonna end the test one way or the other.
I have found a wide mouth bottle plastic bottle that so far has sealed without leaking water for several hrs.The bottle is a clear plastic Tylenol bottle,it will hold 4 jars of gulp liquid and bait.Instead of carrying 4 jars of gulp,I'm combining the different gulp minnow's,and leeches into one jar, plus it takes up less room than toting several jars.
Your putting way to much time into this. Do a search on EBay for specimem containers. You can get 4oz jars for less than $5 and this includes free shipping. I use these and they work just fine. No leaking at all.
While I appreciate your concern for my time, this is just part of how I function .I could allow eBay to solve a lot of my brain teasers, but then again, that would be way to simple.I solved the problem, using a container that was previously used for something else, thus putting me money ahead, sorry E Bay.
The cork gasket ( failure ) cost $ 1.50 for a 24"x18" sheet, will be used for multiple projects here on the poor farm, again,I'm still money ahead. My goal above all was to cheaply fix the gulp jar leaking problem and maybe just maybe help someone else ...........but as you can see,I failed in that endeavor.:biggrin
You mentioned putting a man on the Moon !!!! all the Early Rockets failed. They finally got some to fly,, then how to guide them ... then not to burn up when coming back down.. Those leaks led to discovering --- Good for You !!!!!
