Waiting until I go fishing again to mount the other one. Watched some videos on good ways to ensure the transducer is level but need to have the boat in the water.
Look for the scum line on the side that will be at troll speed angle

I bought the 9.... now all I need are some classes on how to use the darned thing.
I know thats right. I wish I had got the 9 up front. The 10 is kind of big to see around when moving to spot to spot at the console. I need to play around with adjusting its position.Quote:

Wilk, If you're interested, there is a free Humminbird class being taught next Friday evening at Smithville Marina. Class starts at 6, includes sammich for dinner. Sit through class Fri eve and then you get 30 minutes on Saturday morning with an H-Bird Pro in your boat to help you fine-tune your setup.
Class is free - not sure if they still have spots available, but you can call the marina and find out!

As far as the Helix 9 and Helix 10 they are the same size except a inch of screen is blacked out on the Helix 9.
I would be glad to help you all out this weekend with some settings and shutting off screens that you do not use.
