I'm thinking along the lines of meal worms and canned corn. Seems to be an all-rounder when fishing the local farm ponds. Perhaps there are others I should try??

Worms, Wonder Bread, Vienna Sausages
If you have the time to catch them, crawdads and grasshoppers. If you have a basement or garage and put down a strip of duct tape sticky side up you’ll catch crickets. They are great for bluegill

Big fan of minnows. They're pretty natural lol

Grass Shrimp...
Wasp larva work good on gills and would probably be good to tip a jig for crappie.

I'm a fan of mealworms,manure worms,grasshoppers and crickets.
Only tried a couple times thus far for pan fish, but always works for bait fish in ocean: little bay shrimp soaked in salt and pro cure scents. Or larger shrimp cut up just prior to hooking it. If brined, they'll last in fridge in glass for months.
