Cold and snow shut them down, found a couple of early blacks, couple of reports here of early peckerheads, early blacks and small greys being found in open areas, all hell should break loose in a few days as weather will warm up again and bring them on. Woods floor is still cold and needs warmth. How’s the fishing?

I was going to go fishing this afternoon, but heck, they just issued wind advisory again for gusting winds up to 50 mph till 7 pm or so. Tired of fighting the wind and this fubar’ed weather. Will roll the yard and work on honey doo list and get ready for rest of week to fish.

Your doing alot better than me. Ran my patches this afternoon and all I found was 2 in the big woods. Friend of mine hunted 3 miles south of me in a 200 acre woods and found 3 greys. Need night time heat as well as more daytime heat.
Guy posted and found a really nice mess of yellow morels on Facebook around Shoals. This is kinda funky as normally they come up when the dogwood is in full bloom after the redbud and the woods is more leafed out. This might screw the early other variety of morels up on finding them if we jump right into the big yellow morels. Just a FYI.

And forecast of 36 tonite gonna kill em all off again...
no morels yesterday. did find patch of ramps and 3# of oyster tho. that made it worth the walk. another day or two around here yet.
I give up on the yellows as nobody around me is finding hardly any. Weird spring.
I had two half decent days... That's all... Zilch every other attempt.
