I just recently moved to the area, just south of Montgomery. I'm close to the AL River, is there any places along it that are good for dock shooting or crappie fishing period? Jordan would be the next closes place to me. Thanks for any help!

Yep. All the fishing you could ask for on the river. Checkout central alabama crappie club on Facebook and keep an eye out for the next meeting. We do an educational deal at each meeting and have some tournaments throughout the year.

Hardly no docks on the Alabama, lots on Jordan.
But if you can find the fish on the Alabama, it is a great crappie lake.
