We must run with the same folks then.
:yikesA Submerged stump will ruin your day for sure. Lost a 20hp mercury foot and prop to one myself once.
THAT WOULD BE A BAD DAY .
Seeing how I'm an optimist, I would say it's a better day then having the whole motor come lose and paying the folks driving / riding in the boat a visit with the prop spinning at 5,000rpms, but yep that will ruin a trip sure nuff' :yikes
Yep. Bad day to say the least. I would be willing to bet there was more “said” that day than “bad” day!

A very bad day, for sure!
Very bad day. But hey, that's probably a $700.00 + prop. They can be repaired. Somebody better be cuttin' that thang out of the stump

Wow One day they would like to forget.
Never cease to be amazed at the guys flying thru the submerged stump cause they're following a gps track. My understanding is you can be 5' off real easy, not to mention variances caused due to the level of magnification on the screen.
Yeppers I'd say bad day but could have been worse

DA! In certain lakes they fine you for damages to the environment. But heck yes that's a bad day for sure

I've seen a lot of that back in the early 2000s on Okeechobee when the lake dropped below 9.75 ft. Miles of barren "desert" with all sorts of props and lower units scattered everywhere [emoji58]

Bad day for boat owner but as long as nobody got hurt or scared i’d call it a win and phone the insurance agent.
We have some green vines in bayou meto that occasionally get around a prop and if you try to “gas thru it” you’re playing gearbox roulette; especially if you’ve got a 4 stroke. We call that “prop awareness”.
