Caught 21 good fish today and lost probably 10 really good fish and several other smalls and probably caught 25 to 30 that I threw back. This was by far my best day of the year and I will tell you they ain’t spawning yet. Pics to follow tomorrow when I clean them I’m icing them down for the night

They aren’t spawning yet? I caught a few black males from the bank off of rip rap at the end of last week. Were they just scouting bed sites?

Good report! Congrats on a great catch. I agree they are not spawning yet. Caught some Friday in a foot of water. Couldn't get a bite shallow on Sunday. Had to back off to the nearest deep water. I had 22 fish with only 3 being male. This is the time of year they are here today/gone tomorrow in the shallows.

Forgot to take pictures like always, actually my designated fish cleaner came by and cleaned them for me for some fillets. But I will tell you the five smallest ones I kept around 10 inches I cooked whole tonight and they were awesome
